Know Your Regulator

The project aims to increase transparency and accountability for the work of regulatory authorities, as supervisory institutions of sectors of particular public interest.

Lens has started implementing the project “Know Your Regulator”, supported by the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society. The project aims to increase transparency and accountability for the work of regulatory authorities, as supervisory institutions of sectors of particular public interest.

The aim is to inform civil society organizations, journalists and citizens about the role and function of regulatory bodies in order to increase public pressure for applying the highest standards of ethics in the work of public institutions.
For this reason Lens will analyze the role and function of the ten regulatory authorities in the country, in order to provide intelligible and breakthrough information for easy access by everyone.
In the framework of the project “Know Your Regulator” Lens in collaboration with the relevant field of regulatory authorities will issue recommendations based on European regulations and best practices for regulating markets of particular importance. There will also be identified and discouraged conflicts of interest between board members and participants in these markets.
Research activities will be followed by a campaign that promotes responsible and transparent management by regulators.

All project information and results will be published on the dedicated website www.rregullatori.com
